  • WHAT IS DIRTYYOGA®?

    DirtyYoga® is a comprehensive yoga program, streaming fresh, time-efficient online yoga classes. It is open-level, vinyasa style yoga, led by an expert yogi. It's yoga created for people who don't have time for conventional yoga, or for people who don't like conventional yoga.

  • WHY IS DIRTY DIFFERENT?

    DirtyYoga® isn't an exisiting yoga class in a gym or studio that has been filmed and uploaded. It isn't a DVD. It isn't a download. It's an ongoing yoga practice created for the medium, to be done online. And it isn't available anywhere else but here, on this site.

  • WHY ARE DIRTY ONLINE YOGA WORKOUTS UNIQUE?

    DirtyYoga® is the only online yoga program where all the workouts are designed to work  with each other as well as individually. By using different combinations of workouts, you can vary, focus, and challenge your weekly exercise routine. Our workouts vary in length and focus, but all are part of a complete program, complement each other, and are designed to give you variety and a full body workout. See the individual workouts.

  • HOW DOES THE DIRTYYOGA® PRACTICE STAY FRESH?

    Each Monday, fresh DirtyYoga® workouts will replace the previous week's online yoga classes. These make up the week's practice. If you don't use your workouts, they'll be gone. Why? Because this is exercise. You're not supposed to save it for a rainy day. You're supposed to do it. Regularly. Every week. So use it or lose it. The same goes for your body.

    (*All Dirty workouts and Quickies are replaced weekly, with the exception of StrongHold, which is replaced monthly.)

  • WHY IS DIRTYYOGA® MORE EFFICIENT?

    Our online yoga classes have no downtime, so we can give you all the yoga in less time. You'll also save time not having to commute to and from a studio. And you won't have to schlep a yoga mat around town.

  • WHY DO YOGA WITH WEIGHTS?

    Yoga-with-weights makes you stronger, faster. It also makes you better at yoga-without-weights. Try it and you'll see both how fast you can build strength and how much it improves your yoga poses. The yoga in our weighted workouts is also more accessible to those who may not have a lot of yoga experience. Weighted-yoga also allows you to easily and quickly increase or decrease the challenge of your workout by simply increasing or decreasing your weights.

  • WHAT MAKES DIRTYYOGA® “DIRTY”?

    Rather than trying to recreate a studio or gym experience (which is impossible) or enter the yoga DVD world of exotic scenery and perfect poses, DirtyYoga® has created a real, time-efficient, continuing yoga practice, eliminating the elements of conventional yoga that slow you down, and those that don't translate to the medium. Dirty is "Dirty" because we got real with our yoga practice, so you can fit your yoga practice into your life, instead of the other way around.

  • AS A SUPPLEMENT:

    For the days you can't get to your regular yoga class. Or when your regular yoga class isn't available.

  • AS A COMPLEMENT:

    To round out your weekly exercise or sport, to give you a full body workout.

  • AS A STRETCH:

    For runners, cyclists, people who lift weights, people who play team sport, and anyone who doesn't get to stretch as a part of their normal weekly exercise routine.

  • AS A STRENGTH WORKOUT:

    Even if you're getting a lot of cardio, you still also need a couple of strength workouts every week. Add Dirty for strength. Add our online yoga classes to your weekly cardio routine and you can avoid the gym.

  • ON THE ROAD:

    When you're traveling for work, on vacation, visiting your aunties, hiding from your fans, or otherwise unable to get to your gym or studio.

  • IN THE OFF-SEASON:

    Okay, so you play a REAL sport, or compete in something that requires physical training. Keep up your strength and flexibility with Dirty in the off-season. Or, like a lot of professional athletes do, use yoga to keep strong and flexible during the season. Our online yoga classes could even make you a better whatever-it-is-you-are.

  • AS A BOOST:

    Add Dirty to your weekly exercise routine to beef it up, achieve a fitness goal, get ready for summer, or get ready for a big event.

  • AS A COMPLETE YOGA PROGRAM:

    Of course, DirtyYoga is designed to be used as your entire yoga practice. Our fresh online yoga classes, which include targeted workouts, can be combined in different ways to create the level of physical challenge you need, in the convenience of home.

  • PEOPLE WHO CAN'T GET TO YOGA:

    Whether you're working, housebound, or otherwise can't get to yoga, or if there's not yoga to get to where you live, DirtyYoga® comes to you.

  • PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO YOGA:

    Everyone should be doing yoga. But, chances are, if you have a job, a family, or a life, you probably don't have time to commute to and from, and take too many 90-minute yoga classes. Which is exactly why we created DirtyYoga®.

  • PEOPLE WHO EXERCISE A LOT:

    The more you exercise, the more you need yoga. For flexibility, for length and strength, to reach the muscles other activities can reach (the muscles supporting the muscles you're using all the time), and to revive the muscles your other activities do reach.

  • MEN:

    It's no secret that a lot of men are scared of yoga. Yoga isn't very man-friendly. DirtyYoga® delivers yoga minus the weird and scary and touchy-feely and super-bendy stuff that scare the strongest of men. Best of all, our online yoga classes mean you can do Dirty in private, without the girls watching (or giggling).

  • PEOPLE:

    Exercise, at least three times a week, is recommended by absolutely everybody with a medical degree. There is no downside to exercise, except, well, that you have to do it to get the benefits of doing it. Yoga is great exercise, that you can do whether you are 8 or 80. And DirtyYoga® removes almost all of the usual excuses not to exercise. So get to it.

  • PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE YOGA:

    With DirtyYoga® you don't have to like everything about yoga to get the benefits of yoga. You don't have to make yoga the center of your life in order to have a yoga practice. And you don't have to drink the kool-aid for yoga to make a difference in your life. In fact, if you've been turned off by yoga, i.e., seen too many tampon-ads featuring skinny chicks in white lycra, been to one weird class too many, or had a run-in with the yoga-Nazis, you'll probably find that DirtyYoga® is yoga made for you.

     

  • IS DIRTYYOGA® FOR EVERYONE?

    Although we believe everyone should be doing a little yoga, we're the first to admit that DirtyYoga® isn't for everyone. Nothing is, no matter what they say. The only kind of yoga that is for everybody is the kind that doesn't do much for anybody. The only way for us to deliver an effective yoga session in a short amount of time is to take a certain level of experience amongst Dirty users for granted. Otherwise, our sessions wouldn't be quick or effective. Dirty Yoga is designed for people in reasonable condition and who have had some experience with vinyasa yoga. But, remember, most people underestimate their physical abilities and level of fitness so if you are not sure, try it. You'll find out one way or another.

  • WHAT IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT MUCH YOGA EXPERIENCE?

    Prep™ is a short  beginner program, with tailored online yoga classes designed to get a yoga virgin ready for DirtyYoga®. It can also act as a refresher course for a lapsed yogi. However, if you've taken at least four or five real world vinyasa yoga classes, and have not experienced any problems, you're probably ready for Dirty. Some of our workouts are slower paced, so starting with those will help you get used to the practice (e.g. Space, Deep Space, Hold, and The Dirty Dozen).

  • WHAT IF PRACTICED YOGA BUT NOT VINYASA YOGA?

    If you've practiced a repetitive or static form of yoga like Bikram, or Iyengar, when you start Dirty Yoga you'll probably have to spend  a little time just getting used to a vinyasa yoga practice. If you struggle with the flow you could start with our slower workouts (e.g. Hold, Space, Deep Space, and The Dirty Dozen). Or else, our beginner yoga program Prep™ will get you familiar with the poses and flow of vinyasa yoga.

  • WHAT IF YOU NEVER EXERCISE AT ALL?

    As with any exercise program, you should check with your doctor before doing yoga (or any kind of physical activity above and beyond what you usually do). However, once you do get the go ahead, we've heard from our users that DirtyYoga® is an excellent way to build strength, to get back into shape, and to stay there, even if you're starting from zero.
